C changes COLOUR

This post is a part of both, Wandering Wednesday Series & The A-Z Challenge – April 2013

My Wandering Wednesday Series are dedicated to the flight of my imagination now and then, captured by my camera lens. And then, favourite songs and movies simply fill in the gaps for the right captions! I try to give you the backstory of the picture too. Perhaps you may see a tale hidden there. Check the previous posts here.

Colour brings everything to life! The hues of every green speak volumes about nature. The tint of every blue differs in the waters of every river, lake, sea and ocean. The myriad of flora and fauna accessorize heaven’s palette to beautify the earth’s canvas. At such times, you do realize the creator is a very underappreciated artist. But that doesn’t stop HIM from doing HIS work. Do you have the conviction to show your true colours even in the face of adversity?

This is a Tanoura Dancer. A Sufi man dances dressed in a skirt, that swirls and lights up as he spins constantly. He creates a visual delight of light, colour and concept entwined with soulful music. Clicked on my holiday to Dubai, at the desert safari, this was definitely the high point of the evening.

Awesome picture. I would love to see that for real. Love the way you describe Him as an underappreciated artist. Isn’t that ever so true!

    1. Blogwati Gee avatar

Of course Suzy! And HE never complains….and that seems to be all that we ever do…….Sad!

The picture is awesome. And, the words? Poetic.

    1. Blogwati Gee avatar

The picture does not do half the justice to the actual performer. He was a dream. He was spinning for almost 40 mins, non stop. He managed to make an umbrella, a baby, a tent….and so many other illusions with this lit up skirt. Do visit the Dubai and the safari just for this!

Oh, Vinita, one of the things I’d really love to watch is the dervishes. Wish you’d posted a video of this one. Looks fabulous. And of course you write beautifully!

Vidya, I was so mesmerized that I don’t think it occurred to take a video. This picture too is by sheer luck, I tell you.
